March – Southern Gardens

Our March meeting will be held at ChristChurch Centre on Thursday March 9th at 7.45pm. Our speaker is Jane Allison from Mayfields Plants with a talk entitled Three Contrasting Southern Gardens:-

“Romantic Sissinghurst, picturesque Scotney, exuberant Great Dixter. Three garden ‘tours’ in one talk! A personal journey through three very different gardens, with the focus on the planting and atmosphere of each.”

Jane Allison was a teacher for many years before training as as a garden designer and horticulturalist at Reaseheath College. She now has her own cottage garden nursery selling a wide range of cottage garden perennials, specialising in foxgloves, and you can find her stand at Plant Hunters Fairs.

Some photos from last month’s talk are now available on our Photo Gallery page.
