2019 TRIPS

25th – 28th April Harrogate

Following the success of the London holiday we have organised another exciting trip in conjunction with Regent Travel. This year’s trip is to Harrogate, in time for the Spring Show (April 25th – 28th) and with visits to Newby Hall Gardens and RHS Harlow Carr included. You can find photos from this trip over on our Photo Gallery page.

5th June – Shropshire

The first of our day trips is on a Wednesday and will take us to Shropshire to the British Ironworks  Centre and Sculpture Park, Oswestry where we will have coffee and lunch before heading to Wollerton Old Hall Gardens where we will be treated to a cream tea. Cost £30 (members). You can find photos of the Sculpture Park on Trip Advisor too.

5th July – Nottinghamshire

In the summer we head to Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. Our first garden visit is the Pure Land Japanese Garden, Newark, having stopped for coffee on the way. At lunchtime we will head for Reg Taylor’s Garden Centre and Swan Sanctuary.  Cost £30 members

Our 2019 Annual plant sale, general garden plants and vegetables provided by members, was held on Saturday May 4th. Doors open at 9.00am and the sale closes at 1pm. Plenty of bargains to be had as we raise money to fund some of our annual activities. See the Photo Gallery page for pictures of the Hall before the Sale in previous years.

The Annual Sale is held at:-

Light refreshments are provided and admission is FREE.



Our 33rd Annual Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Society Open Show was held on Saturday 14th September at

Walton Community Centre,LR eddit e(20 of 13)

Whitemill Lane,




ST15 0EQ.

The Show opens to the public at 2pm and admission is FREE. Come and see some wonderful displays.

Flowers are on sale throughout the afternoon. . . .

. . . . for collection at 4pm.

Plenty of free parking on site.
